What have other students done?
The School of Rural Health offers individuals committed to learning about and/or practicing health in regional areas an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a vibrant academic rural environment. Students of the School have undertaken a range of projects on very diverse topics. Some students have received scholarships to study on existing projects, such as evaluations of local services or development of local programs. Other students have pursued their own interests and developed a project to research a topic that will enhance their career. Topics studied have included:
- Models of drug and alcohol treatment for rural GPs
- Evaluation of specific health services and/or projects
- Clinical decision-making: what are the rural barriers for physiotherapists?
- Health needs analysis of low SES areas in Shepparton
- Cross-cultural policy in health and human service practice
- Rural consumers with chronic illnesses: what information needs do they have?
