Why do a Masters Degree?

More and more health professionals are required to analyse health information, review clinical models and outcomes, and evaluate services and programs. As a result, research skills are in demand. A Masters of Rural Health provides skills in analysing rural health issues and conducting research in rural settings. .

We offer a multidisciplinary program that will give you quality research skills and advanced knowledge of an area of interest in your profession. Research skills are developed by undertaking a research project of your choice with supervision from skilled researchers. This includes developing a research proposal, gaining ethics approval if necessary, collecting data if appropriate, analysing data and writing up the research in a thesis. Pursuing a particular topic in-depth through this course will enhance your current practice knowledge.
