Kyabram

Kyabram, the main centre in the western Goulburn Valley, is a scenic town with tree-shaded streets. It is also known as rich dairy and fruit growing district. Kyabram is a town of 5534 populations with an area of 10.5 square kilometres. It is the home of country Victoria’s premier Wildlife Park (open 7 days a week 9.30am – 5:30pm). It is about 25 minutes drive from Echuca. Located on the Murray Valley Highway, Kyabram has a multiple award winning Fauna Park with over 600 animals and birds including koalas, beautiful parrots, Tasmanian Devils, owls, water birds, reptiles, dingoes and friendly kangaroos. This park is so beautiful and popular that families often hold reunions and have good time. The park is well equipped to meet the needs of all visitors with all weather pathways, disabled facilities seating, shelter, playground, and barbeque facilities.

The Agricultural Show (third Saturday in October) and Antique Aeroplane Fly-in at the Kyabram airstrip (during Easter) are the two major events in the town. Kyabram Lions Art & Craft Market is held bi-monthly on the 1 st Sunday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm in John Pilley Reserve of Kyabram Fauna Park.
Kyabram is approximately 45 minutes drive from Shepparton (40 Kilometres) via Midland Highway, Echuca Road, Lancaster Mooroopna Road, Albion Street and Edis Street to town.

Public transport: V/Line: Melbourne - Shepparton - Echuca – Moama.
The community of Kyabram has a number of accommodation facilities including bed & breakfasts, caravan parks and motels. ‘Patchwork Cottage’ with its outstanding display of quilts and quilting/craft supplies is the attraction of many visitors.
